Mind the Gap’s Onboarding Practicum™ is a twelve week systematic coaching program designed to support new and emerging leaders with individual coaching, a behavioral assessment, and readings/fieldwork focused on leadership, effective communication, and accountability to sustained positive behaviors. Leaders will participate in facilitated virtual small group forums to discuss and practice management skills, review best practices, and share challenges. This program encompasses:
- Leadership Awareness: Utilizing a behavioral assessment, we create a foundation of personal leadership awareness for each participant. Working with a professional coach, the leader creates their personal and professional vision and mission and identifies important values. Using our Annual Planner™, the leader develops a plan to achieve their short and long-term goals.
- Effective Communications: Weekly readings and discussion will focus on accountability, delegation, difficult conversations, listening, time management, team dynamics, and effective communication skills. Using our Weekly Huddle™ and Situation Converter™, the leader is provided tools to improve communication with their team and improve problem solving with their team members. Two individual coaching sessions are included in this component to allow the new leader time to discuss their personal goals and challenges.
- Accountability/Success Sustainment: The final portion of the Practicum is focused on accountability for the goals each participant has created and reinforcement of their new skills. Weekly readings are focused on topics identified during the program, as well as time management, stress management, creating and sustaining positive habits, and goal setting.
